Write a 53-word microfiction or poem in which the word “sneaker” is used once and the word “blue” is used twice.

This is the very first of many a writing prompt/contest from P53 and Meg Pokrass! We are soliciting writing gems of the choicest cut and clarity! Submissions will be judged by Press 53 staff, and the winner will get a free book and see their name in lights! (on the blog, when their work is published here next Friday). You copy your writing directly into the text box. At the bottom of your submission, please include your name and contact information. None of this will be shared, and if your piece wins, your contact information will be removed from the published post. If you have any trouble with this, please cut and paste your piece into the body of an e-mail and send it to: meg (at) bondomail (dot) com
Deadline:
All submissions must be received by Thursday January 26, by 5:00 pm EST. The winner will be announced and published the next morning.
What do you win?!
The strongest submission will be published on the blog, and the winner will receive a free copy of Damn Sure Right by Meg Pokrass.
